Holiday Hours

Please note that the library will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21 and will remain closed on Thursday, November 22 in observance of Thanksgiving. Main Branch regular hours will resume on Friday, November 23. Please note that the Community Health Branch will remain closed on Friday, November 23.

Adult Winter Reading Club

Participate in our Adult Winter Reading Club for the chance to earn prizes! Simply read or listen to a book and submit a brief review. Weekly prizes are offered, and a grand prize will be up for grabs at the end of the club. Reviews must be at least one sentence long to be eligible. They can be turned in to the Reference Desk or visit https://goo.gl/forms/7dD3sQWEhhvC6Kql1 to complete your review online..  This club is for readers of all formats.  If you read eBooks or eAudiobooks through Libby or Overdrive, you are eligible to enter.  Winter Reading Club will take place from January 7 to February 28.  Call 330-745-1194 ext. 1419 or email susanne.cogar@barbertonlibrary.org for more information. 

Hiring Facility Services Manager

The Barberton Public Library is seeking a creative and innovative individual who will maintain library property in clean and good repair and advises management on future needs.  This individual will train, supervise and schedule a Facility Services Assistant along with working with service providers and vendors, implement safety plans and schedule and/or perform preventative maintenance. 

Road Paving Begins

Please note that Barbicas Construction Company will begin paving Barberton roads on April 24, and will continue their work throughout the summer. Park Avenue is scheduled to be paved during this project, and therefore our front entrance will be closed for an undetermined period of time during the paving. Prior to beginning work on a specific street, Barbicas will post multiple “No Parking” signs on utility poles.

New Library Item: Binge Boxes

Binge Boxes are new to the library, and they can help you binge watch without using online streaming services. One Binge Box contains four to five movies of the same theme, and they can be found in the Reference Department and the Children's Department. Genres include animation, horror, action, romance, sci-fi, family, thriller, and much more! One Binge Box can be checked out at a time, and holds cannot be placed on Binge Boxes. Library Closed on Sundays

Please note that the library will be closed on Sundays during the summer starting on May 26.

You can check out titles anywhere with a web browser and your library card! Download directly to your portable device in most cases, or download to your computer or laptop and then transfer to your portable device.
